I'm partnering with online retailer Cookware.com for a giveaway to the loyal readers of A Cook and Her Books! Are you in the market for a
Dutch oven or new knives or perhaps need a new cutting board? To enter, it's very simple, just click on
csnstores.com have a look around, then return to this post and leave a comment about what you would buy if you won. One entrant will be chosen at random to receive a $40 gift card from CSN! Let me hear a big Woo-Hoo!
The contest will remain open for one week, through midnight, Saturday, August 28. One entry per person. I will email the winner with the happy news!
Easy-sneezy, choosing something from the cooking site for your giveaway. I need a slow cooker, so would go for the All-Clad 6.5 qt (if my little budget could handle it. Looks like the West Bend 5.0 qt slow cooker would also be good, at a more wallet-friendly price).
ReplyDeleteI absolutely L.O.V.E. that you have the opportunity to partner with one of my most favorite on line cookware stores Mrs. Cook and Her Books. And you know I adore you! I would select either from the Staub or Le Creuset collection the 5-qt french oven in white. I'm ready for the Fall season for all the delicious soups, chilis, stew and homecooked meals. It would be like a gift from you to me. What could be better?! Love you dear friend.

The McGowan Tuftop Coffee Time Cutting Board and the Le Creuset Multi Colored mixing bowls
ReplyDeleteThe Bayou Classic Stainless Steel Stockpot with Boil Baskets would work for us for cooking the Low Country Boil. Connie
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen item I dream most of is a Le Crueset dutch oven. I have wanted one for a long time. I could also really use a good set of stoneware nesting bowls. :) Love your blog, both here and on open salon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lucy!
trI would choose the Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker in Brushed Stainless - CPC-600
ReplyDeleteWay too rich for my blood, but a very nice gesture all the same!
ReplyDeleteI'd get a new electric kettle. In black so it won't show tea stains as much. Probably the Krups 54 oz one.
ReplyDeleteElectric kettles rock for more than tea. Fill and start the kettle and then in a pot on the stove, put an inch of water on high. They will reach a boil at about the same time (super fast). Add the water from the kettle to the pot and, presto, you've got a pot of boiling water.
Thanks, Lucy! I browsed through the site and saw so many beautiful items! At this time a Santoku stainless steel knife seems to be calling out my name. Congratulations on your blog in addition to what you post on OS. :o)
ReplyDeleteHello...I would buy the Pumpkin Crocette...I make pumpkin soup once a year on Thanksgiving...from fresh pumpkins..I think I DESERVE this pot for my efforts!
ReplyDeleteTotally Bamboo African Congo Cutting Board
ReplyDeleteI have no clue where all my cutting boards go to but they must be having fun because they are no where to be seen at the L's! I love your blog Lucy and read it all the time!
Totally Bamboo African Congo Cutting Board
ReplyDeleteGreat blog Lucy!!
I need a hard-boiled egg slicer. Does your fancy sponsor have one of them?
ReplyDeleteMan, my odds are pretty good on this contest. Fingers crossed!

I have no idea where to even begin. I think I might go for one of Rachel Ray's oval cookware/casseroles or maybe new utensils and finally trash the ones in my kitchen. Too much to choose from, but I know that I would be able to spend the money without ANY problem.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, Lucy!
