I love old stuff. Nothing wrong with new stuff, but if given the choice, I'd rather have dishes with a story behind them than plates without a past. Once a month, the
Scott Antique Market vendors set up their booths south of Atlanta. They bill themselves as the World's Largest Indoor Antique Shows. There's old stuff and new stuff there, and an outside as well as inside. Here's a few pictures from our afternoon at Scott's.

Whimsical Christmas tree. Lucy Mercer/A Cook and Her Books |
I came very close to buying the whimsical Christmas tree with a penguin to accompany. Maybe the vendor will be back next month.
Do you like to go antiquing or junking? What's your favorite antique fair or market?

Love your photos. I have never been to Scott's. Looks like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteOoo. I want that red mailbox. I have to wait a MONTH until they're open again?!? Please tell me where that red mailbox was!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading, Magnolia! The red mailbox is in the Scott Garden Center building, on the south side of the interstate. Hope that helps. It was really adorable!
ReplyDeleteLoved your pictures and that adorable little girl in one of them. So what did you buy? I saw a lot I would have liked!
ReplyDeleteLOVE antiques, thrift stores, yard sales, etc. - love to find new life in old things - I really like the penguin - may have to check that out next month
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous. Our flea markets are generally just a lot of flea. I'm drawn to those drawers, an the bottles and that freckle faced young'un!
ReplyDeleteBell :)
Hey Bell, just head north to Atlanta on the 2nd week of the month and we'll shop together!
